About the Artist Jim LaQuay has been involved with the Native American way of life for 47 years. Jim's been a powwow dancer since he could walk, and a craftworker since he was a young boy. He has won numerous awards for both dancing and artistry. In past years, he has been recognized for his outstanding beadwork and featherwork. In recent years, he has turned his talents to metalworking. Having studied with a Master Craftsman, Frank Ward, Jim has been honing his work since 1996.
